Helldivers 2 Scope of Authority Warbond Launches October 20

by Greg Martin

Helldivers 2 will receive the Scope of Authority Premium Warbond on October 20, introducing new weapons, armor sets, and tactical equipment focused on long-range combat and concealment. The upcoming Warbond is designed to give players more options for engaging enemies from a distance while remaining difficult to detect.

The new content includes several firearms, a throwable weapon, two armor sets, and additional cosmetic rewards. Players will need the base game, Super Credits, and game progression to unlock the Warbond.

The weapon lineup features the R-40 Sightliner, a bolt-action sniper rifle built for long-range precision and armor penetration. Players can also equip the P-44 Mist, a compact, one-handed machine pistol intended for close-range encounters when enemies get too near.

For heavier targets, the AMW-20 Apex is a backpack-fed anti-materiel rifle with assisted reloading and substantial armor penetration. The LAS-44 Nova offers an alternative for players who prefer energy weapons, firing precise, non-explosive thermal projectiles after a short charge. Its design also improves cooldown performance, allowing for more sustained use.

The Warbond also introduces the G-11 Caltrops, a throwable weapon that scatters proximity-detonated submunitions across a wide area. These devices slow and stun enemies, making them easier for players to target.

Two new armor sets expand the available equipment options. The SS-33 Mimetic Marshal is a light armor set inspired by ghillie suits, using light-diffusing netting and adaptive fiber technology to help players blend into their surroundings. It comes with the Mimetic Mesh cape and matching player card.

Meanwhile, the SS-15 Focal Point is a medium armor set featuring adaptive camouflage and integrated optics, with an asymmetrical visor as part of its design. It pairs with the Boundary Banner cape and player card.

Both armor sets include the Stationary Shroud passive, which reduces weapon sway and detection range while players are crouching or prone. The effect is intended to support stealthier approaches and improve stability when taking aim from concealed positions.

Additional rewards include the Manual Ballistic Projection emote and the Longshot player title. These additions accompany the Warbond’s weapons and armor, giving players further ways to customize their Helldivers.

The Scope of Authority Premium Warbond launches in Helldivers 2 on October 20. Players will need Super Credits and sufficient game progression, in addition to the base game, to access its contents.
