Here is a step-by-step guide on how to fix stuttering issues in Hogwarts Legacy on a PC. This was shared by a user on Reddit so credit goes to them.
- Open Windows search and look for “Exploit protection”.
- Go to the “Program settings” tab.
- Click “Add program to customise”.
- Select “Choose exact file path”.
- Locate the HogwartsLegacy app, which is usually located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy.
- Scroll down to “Control flow guard (CFG)”.
- Change the “Override system settings” to “off”.
- Click “Apply” and restart your PC.
For additional improvements, consider updating your DLSS drivers which can be done manually. Additionally, you can also follow these steps on the file path “…\Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64\HogwartsLegacy.exe”.
