Hogwarts Legacy PC Update Improves Performance and Ray-Tracing Visuals

Warner Bros. Games has released a new update for Hogwarts Legacy that is aimed at improving the performance of the game on PC and consoles.

One of the key fixes was related to Owl Mail, which had a problem triggering sequential missions. The update has fixed this issue. Additionally, there were some rare crashes that occurred around certain in-game world events, which have been resolved.

The update has also addressed character-related issues such as flickering with transparent heads and fixed issues with hair. The user interface has seen improvements in localization text for additional content items and the display of mission descriptions.

Improvements have been made to the game’s performance and stability, including better performance in Fidelity mode, reduced crashes when hovering over the map, and fixed rare crashes related to in-game world events. The update also addresses issues related to Raytracing and DirectX Version 12, which is now required to run the game on PC.

  • DirectX Version 12
    • Please note DirectX Version 12 is required to run Hogwarts Legacy on PC. We do not suggest attempting workarounds to run the game with DirectX Version 11 as this can cause stability issues with launching the game and the player experience.
