Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a tactical role-playing game developed by Firaxis Games and published by 2K in 2022. It includes characters from various Marvel Comics properties, such as Midnight Sons, Avengers, X-Men, and Runaways. Players can create their own superhero, “The Hunter,” with a choice of over 40 powers. The game was released on December 2, 2022, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions came out on May 11, 2023. Although initially planned, the Nintendo Switch version was later canceled.

Players assume the role of “The Hunter,” the offspring of Lilith, leading a team of heroes on missions to defeat her. “The Hunter” is a customizable superhero created for Midnight Suns by Firaxis Games in collaboration with Marvel, available in both male and female options. Players can choose from over 30 different superpowers. Combat is turn-based, akin to Firaxis Games’ XCOM series, with deck-building elements similar to Slay the Spire. Each hero, including “The Hunter,” has a customizable deck of eight cards. Players choose three heroes for each mission, and their decks are combined. Cards represent abilities affecting enemies or heroes, and heroes can move, interact, and make attacks.
