Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is reportedly still targeting a 2027 release, according to industry insider NateTheHate.
The update came after an X user asked whether Naughty Dog’s upcoming sci-fi action-adventure game was expected to launch next year or in 2028. NateTheHate replied with a brief response, stating, “2027 is the intended target.”
Neither Naughty Dog nor Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced an official release date or launch window for Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, meaning the reported 2027 target remains unconfirmed.
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is Naughty Dog’s first brand-new IP since 2013’s The Last of Us. The PlayStation 5-exclusive sci-fi action-adventure follows bounty hunter Jordan A. Mun, played by Tati Gabrielle, after she becomes stranded on the isolated planet Sempiria. The game is directed by Neil Druckmann and features an original score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
Until Naughty Dog provides an official update, the reported 2027 release target should be treated as a rumour rather than a confirmed launch window.
