Naughty Dog has provided a new update on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, confirming that the studio will remain quiet about the game for the rest of 2026 before showing more of its upcoming PlayStation 5 title in 2027.
The update was shared by Naughty Dog president Neil Druckmann, who said the team is currently focused on development and described Intergalactic as the studio’s most ambitious game yet. Druckmann added that the team is preparing to unveil the project “in all its glory”, but needs more time before doing so.
“So we want to set expectations: we’re going to be quiet for the rest of this year. In 2027, that changes,” Druckmann said. “We’ll fully reveal Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and give you a proper look at Jordan’s wild sci-fi adventure.”
Intergalactic Will Return In 2027
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet was originally unveiled nearly two years ago, but Naughty Dog has provided limited information about the project since its announcement. The studio now says that it will not share further details during the remainder of 2026.
Druckmann acknowledged the lengthy wait for another look at the game and thanked fans for their continued support, saying Naughty Dog is working hard to deliver something worthy of that patience.
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is an upcoming action-adventure game being developed by Naughty Dog for PlayStation 5. The game follows bounty hunter Jordan A. Mun, who becomes stranded on the isolated planet Sempiria while pursuing a notorious criminal syndicate.
Naughty Dog has not announced a release date for Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
