Judgment PS4 vs. PS5 Comparison Highlights Major Difference In Visuals and Main Character
Judgment will get an enhanced release for the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. This comes with additional DLC and more, however, there are other changes too.
Judgment will re-emerge again on the new generation consoles in addition to Google Stadia on April 23. This re-release will launch at $39.99 and comes with all of the post-launch DLC, but it also includes some changes that were not highlighted by Sega but can be observed in the announcement trailer.
Some of the changes that were seen in the trailer include a different face model for the main character, changes to the lighting, visuals, and so on. According to Sega, Judgment “takes advantage of the new hardware with refined visuals in 60 frames per second along with improved load times and includes all previously released DLC on these three platforms.” Despite the announcement of a Stadia port, there is no PC version confirmed as of yet.
The comparison between the PS4 and PS5 version of Judgment clearly shows the difference between the two versions. There is no upgrade path offered if you own the game on PS4 so those who have bought it already will have to purchase the game again. However, there appears to be more of a difference than it was originally assumed, aside from the shift to 60 FPS.
Judgment is a brand new IP created by the Ryu Ga Gotoku studio which also acts as a spin-off to the Yakuza series. While the former focuses on the life of gangsters in modern-era Japan, the latter shifts focus to a detective-style murder mystery with mixes of action combat. The game was successful enough for the developers to consider a sequel but nothing has come out of it as of yet.
