Konami Group has reported record financial results for the first half of fiscal 2027, with revenue increasing 37% year over year to ¥307.98 billion for the six months ended September 30, 2026. The company also recorded its highest-ever first-half profits across all major categories and raised its full-year financial forecasts by approximately 15%.

Business profit climbed 72.2% to ¥112.09 billion, while operating profit increased 73.1% to ¥111.26 billion. Profit attributable to owners of the parent reached ¥79.24 billion, representing a 70.5% increase compared with the same period last year.

Digital Entertainment was the biggest contributor to the growth. The segment generated ¥243.52 billion in revenue, up 44.3%, while business profit increased 75.1% to ¥107.48 billion. Konami attributed the results to continued strong performance from its established franchises, particularly eFootball and Yu-Gi-Oh!.

For eFootball, the company highlighted campaigns connected to the international football tournament and a major August update. Konami also said its new-season campaign has been performing well.

During the reporting period, Konami released several major titles and updates. METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol.2 launched in August, featuring Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, which is receiving its first port since its original release. SILENT HILL: Townfall also arrived in September as a first-person psychological horror game set on an isolated Scottish island.

Other releases included eBaseball: PRO SPIRIT 2026, which launched in more than 200 countries and regions, and Suikoden STAR LEAP, a mobile title released in Japan in August. The latter marks the first completely new Suikoden game in 14 years.

Konami also confirmed that Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL has surpassed 100 million cumulative downloads. The company celebrated the milestone with a special campaign and reported a positive reception for special-edition Yu-Gi-Oh! card products based on cards used by previous anime protagonists.

Other business divisions also recorded growth. Arcade Game revenue increased 17.4% to ¥10.36 billion, supported by the release of Demon Slayer: Nichirin Battle Slash, the first arcade game based on the anime. Gaming & Systems revenue rose 41.3% to ¥25.11 billion, driven by strong sales of its Solstice 49C slot cabinet. Sports revenue increased 3.3% to ¥25.72 billion, while Konami opened 15 pilates studios during the second quarter.

Following the strong first-half performance, Konami raised its full-year revenue forecast from ¥505.0 billion to ¥583.0 billion. Its business profit forecast increased from ¥150.0 billion to ¥200.0 billion, while projected profit attributable to owners of the parent rose from ¥101.0 billion to ¥135.0 billion. The company expects eFootball and Yu-Gi-Oh! to contribute to results exceeding its previous expectations.

Konami also increased its annual dividend forecast from ¥224 to ¥299 per share. This includes an interim payment of ¥112 and a year-end payment of ¥187, with the company maintaining its policy of a dividend payout ratio of at least 30%.
