Konami has reported record first-quarter financial results for the three months ended June 30, 2026, with its Digital Entertainment division delivering another strong performance and continuing to drive the company’s overall growth.

For Q1 FY2027, Konami generated revenue of ¥129.5 billion, up 33.6% year over year. Business profit rose 61.7% to ¥44.7 billion, while operating profit increased 63.3% to ¥45.3 billion. Profit attributable to shareholders reached ¥32.6 billion, up 64.2% from the same period last year.

Konami said the record results were “mainly driven by the continued strong performance of key titles in the Digital Entertainment business.”

Digital Entertainment Leads Konami’s Growth

Konami’s gaming division generated revenue of ¥100.083 billion during the quarter, an increase of 36.5% year over year. Business profit climbed 57.4% to ¥43.870 billion.

The segment accounted for approximately 77% of Konami’s total revenue and around 98% of its total segment business profit, highlighting the growing importance of the company’s games business.

Konami credited the performance to a combination of new releases and continued engagement with its live-service titles.

The company launched PAWAFURU PUROYAKYU 2026-2027, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the series’ Success Mode, while also releasing eFootball Kick-Off! for Nintendo Switch 2.

Among its live-service games, Konami highlighted that eFootball has now surpassed 1 billion downloads worldwide. The company also pointed to football-themed campaigns marking the mobile version’s ninth anniversary.

Elsewhere, eBaseball: MLB PRO SPIRIT exceeded 5 million downloads globally and received a limited-time event featuring MLB players selected by cover athlete Shohei Ohtani. Professional Baseball Spirits A (ACE) and Jikkyou Pawafuru Puroyakyu also benefited from collaborations with popular anime franchises.

Konami continued expanding the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise through new trading card products tied to Yu-Gi-Oh! CARD GAME THE CHRONICLES, while also supporting esports events including the eJ.League eFootball 2026 Season Finals, the WBSC eBaseball Series 2026 and Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2026 qualifiers.

Other Business Segments

Outside of gaming, Konami’s Gaming & Systems division recorded revenue of ¥12.388 billion, up 64.9% year over year, returning to profitability with ¥827 million in business profit. Growth was driven by Solstice slot machines, Bomberman casino content, SYNKROS casino management systems and expansion in North America and Australia.

The Arcade Game segment generated ¥4.312 billion in revenue, an increase of 8.3%, while business profit rose 58.9% to ¥929 million. Key products included Demon Slayer: Nichirin Battle Slash, DanceDanceRevolution STOMP and pop’n music High Cheers!!.
