The first images of the reported LEGO PlayStation 1 set have surfaced online, offering a closer look at the upcoming build and its game-themed features. The set, numbered 72306, contains 1,911 pieces and is listed for release on October 1 for $160.
Images of the set were shared on the LegoLeak subreddit after the model was reportedly found in a store by a Brick Tap member. The images provide the first look at the completed PlayStation-inspired build, including small Ape Escape and Gran Turismo dioramas.
The set is designed to recreate the original PlayStation at close to a 1:1 scale. Earlier reports claimed the model measures around 26cm wide and 17cm tall when opened and includes an original-style PlayStation controller without analogue sticks.
The two game-themed dioramas are housed in pull-out sections on the sides of the console. The build is also expected to contain additional Easter eggs and pieces referencing the original PlayStation and its games.
The reported $160 set will also include a free Astro Bot set while supplies last.
