Miles Morales has been hinted as a Year 2 DLC character for Sony Interactive Entertainment and Arc System Works’ fighting game, Marvel Tokon.
The tease comes from Miles Morales: Spider-Man (2026) issue #4 (via neoxon on BlueSky), which was released on November 4, 2026. During a fight sequence, Miles taunts his opponent, Revenant (Martin Moore, with references to fighting game terminology, such as whiff punish.
Miles is seen saying, “Play him like a fighting game,” “Read the spacing. He likes range,” “Let him overcommit,” “Hit him with the triangle button,” “Tap square,” “Air dash,” and “Punish the whiff.” Marvel Tokon uses the Square, Triangle and Circle buttons for light, medium and heavy attacks, respectively. Furthermore, air dash is a prominent mechanic in Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls., making these dialogues sound oddly specific to anyone who has played the game.
According to Marvel’s official synopsis, Revenant, who was forged by the Kingpin, has found a way to hurt Spider-Man by targeting someone he trusts, Miles Morales. Written by Bryan Edward Hill, with artwork by Valentine De Landro and Nico Leon, issue #4 sees Spider-Man caught up in a dangerous situation that forces him to think like a supervillain.
So Miles Spider-Man has to be in the pipeline for Tokon, right? He even mentioned an air dash for his strat.Source: Miles Morales: Spider-Man (2026)

While Sony Interactive Entertainment, Marvel, or Arc System Works have yet to announce a year 2 DLC lineup for Marvel Tokon, the familiar references make Miles Morales a likely candidate. It also helps that that he’s a very popular character, so his addition to the fighting game is a bit of a no-brainer.
As for when Miles Morales can be expected to join the Marvel Tokon roster, we’re inclined to believe it will happen soon after the theatrical release of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, part 3 in the animated film trilogy, on June 18, 2027. Given that Venom and Jubilee are set to arrive in Spring and Summer, respectively, Miles may end up being the very first Year 2 DLC character in Fall of 2027.
Marvel Tokon was released on August 5, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Windows PC.
