The first hands-on previews for Marvel’s Wolverine will be published on Thursday, August 13, at 8 AM PDT, giving players their most detailed look yet at Insomniac Games’ upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive.
The preview embargo timing was revealed by YouTuber Caboose, who confirmed he recently travelled to Los Angeles after being invited by PlayStation Canada to play the game ahead of launch.
“I PLAYED MARVEL’S WOLVERINE… Thanks to the kind folks at PlayStation Canada for flying me out to Los Angeles to get an early hands-on with Marvel’s Wolverine. My full thoughts on the game will go live on Thursday, August 13th at 8AM PDT.”
The announcement suggests that multiple media outlets and content creators have had early access to the game, with impressions expected to go live simultaneously when the embargo lifts.
Marvel’s Wolverine launches on September 15, 2026, exclusively for PlayStation 5. Developed by Insomniac Games, the title is a single-player, narrative-driven action-adventure that follows Logan as he searches for answers about his past.
Combat centres on Wolverine’s signature adamantium claws, regenerative healing factor and rage-driven abilities, with players travelling through locations including the Canadian wilderness and the criminal underworld of Madripoor. The story also features villains such as Omega Red, alongside appearances from familiar mutants including Mystique.
