Monolith Productions is currently targeting a 2026 release window for its upcoming title, Wonder Woman, based on a new report.

During the latest episode of the Triple Click podcast, co-host Jason Schreier talked about having spoken to someone who had been working on the project. According to his source, developer Monolith Productions is currently aiming for a 2026 release window for Wonder Woman.

Schreier further mentioned that even the target release window of 2026 seems unrealistic for Wonder Woman, lending credibility to the earlier rumor regarding the project being in a troubled state.

Back in June, during an episode of the Kinda Funny Gamescast, co-host Greg Miller had mentioned hearing that the development of Monolith Productions’ Wonder Woman game had been “troubled”. As a result, he didn’t hold out hope that the game was in a position to be shown at upcoming events in any shape or form. He said that he received his information from an insider sometime during the past year. Things can and do change over a period as large as a year, and depending on when he heard about the game’s development troubles, the game may currently be in a better state than before. Regardless, we won’t be holding our breath for a reveal trailer for Wonder Woman anytime soon, and neither should fans.

Not much is known about Monolith Productions’ Wonder Woman project at this point in time. During an episode of the XboxEra Podcast, co-host Shpeshal Nick had claimed hearing details regarding the gameplay mechanics that were being worked on for the game. Based on what he had heard, it will feature plenty of mobility and verticality, like in the Crackdown series. He also compared the game’s loot system to  the one in God of War reboot, saying that players will find chests and loot drops for equipment, including boots, braces, and torso gear, each with individual stats.
