Another round of Street Fighter 6 rumors has surfaced online, this time pointing toward possible Season 4 character plans and claims surrounding a future “Super” edition of the game.
The latest speculation comes from ResetEra user SuperfruitPunch, who shared several posts in the Street Fighter 6 community thread following discussions allegedly connected to Combo Breaker. According to the posts, the information came from a source with supposed insider knowledge, though the user repeatedly advised readers to “take this with a HUGE grain of salt.”
One of the claims suggests that “Super SF6” is currently being saved for next year as part of Street Fighter’s 40th anniversary plans. SuperfruitPunch later stated they had received “receipts” supporting the claim, adding that the information supposedly came from a “Very popular content creator” present at Combo Breaker.
The same series of posts also referenced Street Fighter 6 Season 4, though details appear inconsistent. Early speculation reportedly included names such as Gouken and Haggar, but the user later clarified those characters were “false.” A follow-up update claimed the actual roster composition would include “one male and three females,” though no specific fighters were officially named.
At the moment, Capcom has not commented on any of the rumors or confirmed plans for a Super Street Fighter 6 release. The company also has not announced a full Season 4 lineup.
Street Fighter 6 launched worldwide on June 2, 2023 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, later receiving a Japanese arcade release. The fighting game introduced the Drive Gauge combat system alongside the open-world World Tour mode, which allows players to create custom avatars and train under iconic Street Fighter characters.
