A brand new Transformers game is currently in development, and playtesting is said to begin soon, according to a new rumor.
In his recent video, content creator RoboGamer1HD has claimed that an unannounced Transformers game is in development, with invitations for the playtesting phase allegedly being sent out under strict NDA agreements. The information was given to him by Laszlo Ven, a Transformers-focused content creator known in fan circles for previously leaking accurate details related to Transformers films and toys. Ven also commented on the video, saying that he would “try to get more information as soon as possible.”
According to RoboGamer1HD, the game’s title is currently unknown, and it is internally being referred to as “Transformers game.” He further claimed that a studio has already secured licensing rights connected to “Transformers G1,” suggesting that it may closely follow the story, aesthetic, and character designs from that era. The content creator noted that previous fan-favorite titles such as Transformers: War for Cybertron and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron were similarly viewed as modern reinterpretations of the classic G1 universe.
RoboGamer1HD further claimed that “pre-registration” for the unannounced Transformers game is planned for July, 2026. He mentioned that hearing the term immediately made him think of a possible mobile title, especially since a Chinese agency is reportedly involved in organizing the playtests and NDA signups. That said, the game’s platforms and developer remain unknown. He also speculated about possible involvement from Saber Interactive, the studio currently developing another officially announced Transformers game with Hasbro.
As with all rumors, it is advised to take this information with a grain of salt until there is confirmation via official sources. “We can’t be 100% here guys until it is officially confirmed,” the content creator cautioned, despite adding that the materials he had seen “look very legit.”
Back in September, 2024, the Australian Classification Board added listings for two titles based on the Transformers franchise, with both listing Microsoft Studios as the production company. Read about it here.
