Nintendo Dominates Amazon Best-Sellers In 2020 With 8 Games In Top 10

Nintendo had tremendous success in 2020. Nintendo Switch created a new sales record while Animal Crossing New Horizons sold more than 20 million units worldwide.

Amazon Best-Sellers for 2020 has been updated for both the UK and USA. While this includes almost every video game product from accessories, to wallet top-up cards, we are only going to count the software, and in this category, Nintendo is the clear winner. There is barely any competition when it comes to the Nintendo published games charting in the top 10.

Despite the lack of big games in 2020, Nintendo Switch did really well thanks to the massive success of Animal Crossing New Horizons. It also had decent hits with Super Mario 3D All-Stars, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.

Unfortunately, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, another major new release in 2020 for the Nintendo Switch, failed to chart at all, but Paper Mario: The Origami King did end up making the cut to the best-sellers list.
