Nintendo has launched a limited-time promotion that gives both new and existing subscribers a free bonus month of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack when they purchase or redeem a qualifying 12-month membership.
The offer is available for individual and family memberships and runs through July 28, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PT. To qualify, users must activate the promotion through Nintendo’s designated offer page and purchase a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership during the promotional period. Nintendo stated that completing the purchase and activating the offer can be done in any order, provided both steps are finished before the deadline.
According to Nintendo, the bonus month will be automatically added to an eligible account within three business days after the membership purchase is completed.
Nintendo Switch Online provides access to online multiplayer features, cloud save functionality, and a selection of classic games from the NES, Super NES, and Game Boy libraries.
The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack tier expands those benefits with additional retro game collections from Nintendo 64, Game Boy Advance, SEGA Genesis, and Virtual Boy platforms. The subscription also includes access to GameCube titles available on Nintendo Switch 2, as well as downloadable content for several Nintendo games, including Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Splatoon 2.
The promotion is available until July 28, 2026, giving eligible players a chance to extend their membership by an additional month at no extra cost.
