Nintendo Switch system update 7.0.1 is available to download now. There doesn’t seem to be anything major implemented for this update, as it is mainly a stability update related to a specific game.
The last major Nintendo Switch system update was released just at the end of January. It was a system update 7.0.0 that implemented localization support for Korea and China. It also included some new set of avatars for user profiles on the Switch software.
The new update offers general stability and performance improvements for the Switch hardware. The following changes have been made in Nintendo Switch system update 7.0.1 as detailed by Nintendo.
Improvements Included in Version 7.0.1 (Distributed 02/18/2019)
- General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience, including:
- Resolved an issue where the Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! games cannot reconnect to the Pokémon GO app if the game software was closed after pairing with the app.
If you were having issues withPokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee games being unable to connect to the Pokemon GO app on Mobile, then this is the update that will fix the issue once and for all.
Other than that, there doesn’t seem to be anything major added or supported in this new Nintendo Switch system update.
If you missed the news, there was a brand new Nintendo Direct last week that outlined the Switch games which are scheduled to launch in 2019.
