Nioh 3 update 1.05.00 delivers a substantial content drop alongside a wide range of balance adjustments and bug fixes. The headline addition is the Stone of Penance system, which introduces a risk and reward mechanic that strengthens enemies while improving high rarity loot drops, offering players a fresh layer of challenge and progression.

Alongside this, several new missions have been added, accompanied by gameplay refinements, skill adjustments, and improvements across multiple weapon types. The update also addresses numerous technical and gameplay issues, resulting in a more stable and consistent experience overall, even if some fixes are quite granular in nature.
