Pocketpair has confirmed that Palworld will remain priced at $29.99 following the release of version 1.0, breaking from the common practice of increasing the price when an Early Access game reaches its full launch.
The announcement was made through the game’s official social media account, where the developer thanked players for supporting the open-world survival game since its Early Access debut.
“After much thought, we have decided not to raise the price of Palworld following the 1.0 release and will keep it at $29.99,” Pocketpair said.
The studio added, “We are incredibly proud of how far Palworld has come. Thanks to the amazing support of our players, it has become a success beyond our wildest dreams.”
Pocketpair said the decision was made as a gesture of appreciation for the community, stating, “As a small way of saying thank you, we’ll be keeping the price at $29.99.”
Palworld originally launched in Early Access on January 19, 2024, with a standard retail price of $29.99 and a temporary launch discount that reduced the price to $26.99 during its first week. While many games leave Early Access with a permanent price increase, Pocketpair has chosen to keep the existing price in place following the version 1.0 rollout.
