God of War Ragnarok is the next game the head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, is looking forward to playing on the PS5. The game is set for release later this year on November 9, 2022 for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles.
In response to a tweet from the official Xbox Twitter account that asked a series of questions, including the games respondents are looking forward to playing next, Phil Spencer stated that the game he is most looking forward to playing next is God of War Ragnarok.
First game: Pong

Game you want to play next: God of War Ragnarok

In addition, Spencer also mentioned a bunch of other games in his response. The first game that the played was Pong, while the last game he’s played to date is Road 96. Phil’s all-time favorite game is Robotron 2084, and the game he’s busy playing right now is Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels. One of the question asked what game respondents would show to a caveman, and Phil’s answer was Lumines. The reason behind his choice is that the game is a perfect mix of mechanics, music, style, and replayability.
Phil has suggested on multiple occasions that he doesn’t believe in platform wars, and the choice of God of War Ragnarok as the game he wants to play next reflects this. The game is set to hit PS4 and PS5 store shelves on November 9, 2022. Recently, the target frame rate, resolution, and exclusive features for the PS5 version of God of War Ragnarok were revealed via an Australian retailer.
GOW Ragnarok will be the ninth entry in the series, and the sequel to God of War, which was released in 2018. The game is set in ancient Scandinavia, featuring Kratos and his adolescent son Atreus as the protagonists, and is loosely based on Norse mythology.
Three years after the events of the last game, Fimbulwinter, a tremendous winter spanning three summers, is coming to an end, signalling the start of the foretold Ragnarök. Kratos and his adolescent son Atreus go on a journey through the nine worlds in search of a way to halt Ragnarök while also hoping to find the truth about Atreus’ true nature as Loki. Their adventure will take them to Tr, the Norse God of War, who was thought to be dead. Thor, the Norse God of Thunder, and Freya, an ally-turned-enemy who seeks vengeance for the murder of her son Baldur, will be at odds with them.
