PlayStation’s State of Play Reportedly Set for Next Week, Could Feature Another ‘Remaster’ Besides Horizon Zero Dawn
Sony is reportedly hosting a State of Play as soon as next week and Horizon Zero Dawn won’t be the only remaster announced there.
This is according to Jeff Grubb, who has a credible record of leaking stories. It is also not the first time he has mentioned that a State of Play is being planned for later this month. It was supposed to happen by the end of September, and now Grubb has locked on to a date for it, suggesting it might air on September 24.
The recent leak of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered for PC and PS5 has also added credibility to this rumor. But Grubb has hinted that there might be another “less exciting remaster” that could be announced during the State of Play. Going by what he has stated here, it is easy to strike off any hope or dream of a Bloodborne remaster being announced anytime soon.
Sony has remastered a lot of their PS4 catalog for the PS5. They have done it with The Last of Us Part 1 and 2, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and Until Dawn among other first-party games. They are also rumored to be working on Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster, in addition to this, they might be announcing another remaster that might not get as much excitement as the other games. Based on earlier rumors, this could be related to Gravity Rush 2, which has been rumored to get a remaster for PC and PS5.
Sony usually holds a State of Play presentation in September so it is not a major surprise that they will do another one later this month. They are likely going to share some of the games that they are expecting to launch alongside the PS5 Pro, one of those could be the Horizon Zero Dawn remaster.
Let us know what remaster do you expect from Sony in the rumored State of Play in the comments below.
