Pokémon Pokopia’s Dazzling Decorations DLC Arrives Next Month but Won’t Include a New Town

Pokémon Pokopia is getting the second part of its paid Expansion Pass on December 9, 2026, bringing new Pokémon, accessories, and furniture to the Nintendo Switch 2 social simulation game. The DLC, titled Dazzling Decorations, will focus on customization rather than introducing another location.

The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass Part 2 will allow players to dress up their Pokémon with accessories such as sunglasses and bowties. Players will also be able to befriend additional Pokémon and use new furniture to customize their environments.

Unlike the first part of the Expansion Pass, Dazzling Decorations won’t introduce a new town. Instead, the update will expand the existing customization options, giving players more ways to decorate their surroundings and personalize their Pokémon.

The new DLC follows Bubbly Basin, which launched in August 2026. That expansion introduced underwater building mechanics, additional environmental quests, and unique decorative items.

Nintendo has previously outlined plans to continue expanding Pokémon Pokopia throughout late 2026 and into 2027. Future content is expected to introduce new locations, more wild Pokémon, and additional story elements.

Pokémon Pokopia launched worldwide on March 5, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2. Developed by Game Freak and Koei Tecmo’s Omega Force, the game takes place in a version of Kanto devastated by an environmental catastrophe, with humanity having evacuated into space.

Players work alongside a friendly Ditto to rebuild damaged habitats, gather resources, and create environments that encourage Pokémon to return. The game received strong reviews at launch and became one of the franchise’s highest-rated spin-offs.

Alongside the paid Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass, the base game has continued receiving free updates. Previous patches introduced improved movement controls, bulk item management, more precise furniture rotation, customizable decorative patterns, and options intended to reduce motion sickness.

Version 2.0 also added the Dive move, allowing players to explore underwater areas that were previously inaccessible.
