Pokémon Pokopia has surpassed 5 million units in worldwide sales, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have announced. The figure includes both physical and digital sales and was reached just over four months after the life simulation game launched exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on March 5, 2026.
Pokémon Pokopia is a crafting and building-focused life simulation in which players take control of a Ditto. Using its transformation abilities and crafting skills, Ditto can restore a desolate environment and gradually turn it into a customisable home for Pokémon.
As players develop the world, they can encounter other Pokémon and work alongside them to create their own settlement. A free update is also available now, adding a new Dive move that allows Ditto to explore underwater areas.
The game’s paid Expansion Pass is also expanding the experience with three planned content releases. Part 1, titled Bubbly Basin, is now available and introduces an underwater town along with additional Pokémon, furniture and food to discover and create.
Part 2 of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass is scheduled to arrive in late 2026. It will add accessories that Pokémon can wear, while Part 3 is planned for release sometime in 2027. Nintendo has not yet revealed further details about the third content update.
The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass is available to purchase through the Nintendo eShop. Pokémon Pokopia itself remains exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2.
