PS Plus Subscribers In August 2022 May Get Rollerdrome As A Free Game

PS Plus subscribers may be getting Rollerdrome as part of the subscription’s free offerings in the month of August 2022, based on the game’s PlayStation Store listing.

The PlayStation Web Store displays the exact time a game is usually set for release. While most digital games in the East Coast are launched at midnight, Stray and Rollerdrome are scheduled to become available at 11 AM and 12 PM, respectively.

Stray has already been confirmed as one of the free PS Plus Extra and Premium offerings for the month of July, and has a similar listing on the PS Store. As seen in the PlayStation Store page for both games, neither are set to launch at midnight on the East Coast. This is certainly not the norm for digital releases on PSN, and it’s very likely that Rollerdrome is one of the free PS Plus Extra and Premium games for the month of August 2022.

Rollerdrome is a third-person action shooter that seamlessly integrates high-octane, visceral combat with fluid mobility and trickery elements to produce a novel adrenaline-pumping shooter experience unlike any other. If it is indeed a PS Plus Extra and Premium freebie, it’ll be the second major day 1 release confirmed thus far for the revamped service.

Meanwhile, Stray, the first confirmed major day 1 release on the new tiers of PS Plus, will be released on July 19, 2022 for Windows, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. It tells the narrative of a stray cat that becomes lost in a world of robots, computers, and viruses and sets out to find his family. The game is played from the third-person perspective, and is set in an open world with a strong emphasis on atmosphere, exploration, and aesthetics.

The player assumes control of a stray cat that wanders into a world filled with robots and sets out to find his family. To proceed through the story, they must complete puzzles that include shifting objects and traversing platforms. The player is followed by B12, a friendly drone that may help by translating the robots’ language and storing objects found throughout the globe. Zurks are among the game’s antagonists, and they assault the player in swarms.
