Sony is set to remove six titles from the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium game catalogue in August 2026, according to the Japanese PlayStation Store. The monthly departures are typically the same across all regions.
The games currently listed to leave the service are:
- Earth Defense Force 6
- Unicorn Overlord
- Harold Halibut
- Clash: Artifacts of Chaos
- Onee Chanbara Origin
- Space Crew: Legendary Edition
Among the departing titles, Unicorn Overlord is one of the most notable releases. Vanillaware’s tactical RPG joined the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalogue in February 2025 and is known for its large-scale strategic battles and distinctive hand-drawn art style.
Earth Defense Force 6, which arrived in October 2024, is also leaving the service. The third-person shooter features cooperative battles against giant alien creatures and oversized enemies in a deliberately over-the-top sci-fi setting.
Harold Halibut entered the catalogue in March 2025, offering a story-focused adventure built entirely with handcrafted clay models. Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, added in May 2024, combines melee combat with an unusual Ritual system that influences encounters through dice-based mechanics.
Onee Chanbara Origin has been available through PS Plus Extra and Premium since April 2024, bringing fast-paced hack-and-slash combat against zombie hordes. Meanwhile, Space Crew: Legendary Edition, one of the oldest titles on the list after joining the service in September 2023, rounds out the August departures with its crew management and spaceship strategy gameplay.
Subscribers who want to play any of these games through the PS Plus Extra or Premium catalogue will need to do so before they are removed next month.
