Capcom has a website up for Resident Evil 2 that shows the percentage of people who have played the game. There is a global map displayed showing the number of players in each region of the world. Just having a look at it right now, more than 1.1 million people have played Resident Evil 2 demo. Resident Evil (Bio Hazard) used to be quite popular in Japan and has always done well there, but Resident Evil 7 didn’t do that great there.
