Resident Evil 4 Remake Free Mercenaries DLC Confirmed For April 7

by Salal Awan

Capcom has confirmed that the Mercenaries mode will be available in Resident Evil 4 Remake as part of a free DLC on April 7. The announcement was made alongside the launch trailer for the game, which is currently available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.

The Mercenaries mode is an arcade-style gameplay mode that involves navigating through various stages from in-game locations and completing a score attack mode with hordes of enemies attacking the player. It was first introduced in Resident Evil 4 and has since been included in subsequent games in the series. While Capcom has not shared any details about the Mercenaries mode in Resident Evil 4 Remake, the cover art for the update features Leon, although it is unclear if other playable characters will be included.

Separate Ways and Mercenaries DLC were previously reported for Resident Evil 4 Remake. It is now confirmed that Mercenaries will be available for free, while Separate Ways is rumored to be a paid DLC that will allow players to experience the game from Ada Wong’s perspective. The mode is said to have been expanded in the Remake, offering more content than the original game.

Capcom has not yet provided any details about the post-launch support for Resident Evil 4 Remake. However, the game’s demo encountered some issues, such as blurry visuals on the PS5 version and deadzone issues on the Xbox Series version. It is unclear whether these issues will be resolved through patches now that the game has been officially released on all platforms.

For players interested in purchasing the game, there are costumes available for each platform, as well as pre-order bonuses. These items are typically available after the game’s launch, so there is no need to worry about missing out on them permanently.
