Capcom has reported a strong start to its fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, revealing new sales milestones for Resident Evil Requiem and Pragmata alongside record first-quarter financial results.

The publisher confirmed that Resident Evil Requiem has now sold more than 8 million units worldwide. According to Capcom, the game has continued to perform well following its launch in the previous fiscal year, with active pricing initiatives helping to sustain sales momentum.

Pragmata also delivered a strong debut. Released during the quarter for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2, the new IP has sold more than 2.5 million copies worldwide. Capcom said extensive promotional activities helped establish a fanbase for the title ahead of launch.

The two games contributed to record Q1 results for the company. Between April 1 and June 30, 2026, Capcom reported net sales of ¥70.41 billion, up 54.7% year-on-year, while operating profit increased 66.9% to ¥41.05 billion. Ordinary profit rose 81.1% to ¥41.45 billion, and net profit climbed 69.2% to ¥29.16 billion.

Capcom maintained its full-year forecast, keeping its guidance at net sales of ¥210 billion, operating profit of ¥83 billion and net profit of ¥58 billion despite the strong opening quarter.

The publisher also announced that Devil May Cry 5 has surpassed 14 million copies sold worldwide. Capcom attributed the milestone to the game’s Nintendo Switch 2 release, promotional pricing and increased visibility from the animated series.

Across its Digital Contents business, Capcom sold 23.81 million software units during the quarter, up from 14.16 million a year earlier. Catalogue titles accounted for 21.26 million of those sales, compared with 13.36 million in the same period last year.

Capcom added that older Monster Hunter games also saw increased sales following the announcement of Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, while Street Fighter 6 continued to receive support through the company’s global esports initiatives.
