Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy may be launching sooner than expected, as an Amazon Australia listing has seemingly revealed a release date for the upcoming action-adventure title.
According to the retailer listing (via Okami13), the next entry in the A Plague Tale series is scheduled to release on August 27. While the date has not been officially confirmed by publisher Focus Entertainment or developer Asobo Studio, fans have pointed out that the listing appears unusually specific for what could otherwise be a placeholder.
Announced as a prequel to the previous games, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy shifts the series toward a more combat-focused experience. Players will take control of Sophia, a young smuggler navigating a dangerous island maze while uncovering connections to an ancient curse.
The game will also feature a dual-timeline structure, linking medieval-era events with the ancient Minoan period. Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is currently planned for release in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
