Asobo Studio has confirmed that Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy has gone gold ahead of its release later this summer.
The announcement was shared on the official A Plague Tale X account, with the studio confirming that development has reached a major milestone and the game is now ready for launch.
“Resonance: #APlagueTale Legacy has just gone GOLD, which means it’s release ready!” the post reads. “In a few weeks, you’ll finally set foot on the Island and begin a memorable journey alongside Sophia. We can’t wait!”
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is scheduled to launch on August 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC.
The game serves as a narrative prequel to A Plague Tale: Requiem, taking place 15 years before the events of that title. Players take on the role of Sophia, a young smuggler who sets out to uncover her connection to an ancient curse while exploring a mysterious island.
Alongside its story, the game introduces a dual-timeline mechanic that links the Middle Ages with the ancient Minoan era, combining a greater emphasis on direct combat with environmental puzzles.
