Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy has reportedly leaked on PC approximately one week before its official release, with the full game said to be available and playable ahead of launch.

The leak was initially reported on the game’s subreddit and has since been independently verified, according to the source material. The leaked version reportedly contains the complete game and can be played on PC.

The leak arrives shortly before the game’s scheduled release on August 27, 2026. Focus Entertainment and Asobo Studio have not publicly commented on the reported leak.

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is an action-adventure prequel set 15 years before the events of A Plague Tale: Requiem. The game follows Sophia as she travels to the island of Crete, where she investigates her past and its connection to the ancient Macula curse.

The game also changes the series’ gameplay formula, placing more emphasis on melee combat and puzzle-solving rather than relying primarily on stealth.

One of the game’s key mechanics is a dual-timeline system that allows players to switch between the medieval period and the ancient Minoan era. This mechanic is used to manipulate environments and progress through the game’s puzzles.

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is scheduled to launch on August 27 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
