Sackboy: A Big Adventure was originally only available on the PS4 and PS5, but with the PC release this month, fans are likely interested in knowing how the console versions stack up against it.
The PC version of Sackboy: A Big Adventure supports new features not available on the PS5, though they can be quite demanding and require reasonably capable hardware. This includes graphical options such as ray traced shadows, ray traced reflections, and ray traced ambient occlusion.
As such, with these settings enabled, the PC version delivers more physically accurate shadows, reflections, and ambient occlusion. However, it’s worth mentioning that ray traced shadows isn’t enabled globally, and only applied to certain elements.
Meanwhile, Steam Deck fans will surely be interested in knowing how the game run’s on Valve’s handheld device. The answer is that it runs very well on the Steam Deck, and is able to operate at 800p medium settings while delivering a stable 60fps. In terms of graphical quality, it is comparable to the PS4 version. Unfortunately, however, Sackboy: A Big Adventure currently does not support the Steam Deck’s 16:10 aspect ratio.
In terms of load times, the PS5 version takes the overall lead compared to the other version, even up against the PC version running on a modern NVMe SSD.
On the whole, the PC version is a worthy port, with modern graphical features not seen in the console versions. That said, these features come at a hefty price, as ray tracing is extremely demanding here, and not worth the visual enhancements.

In a blog post on September 16, 2020, it was revealed that it will be published for the PlayStation 4, with North America and Oceania getting it on November 12, 2020, and the rest of the globe getting it on November 19, 2020.
