Housemarque has released Saros update 01.004.003 for PlayStation 5, focusing on gameplay fixes, progression blockers, and stability improvements across several areas of the game. The latest patch resolves issues tied to weapon traits, world progression, autosave behavior, and rare player deaths.
A number of environment-related bugs have also been addressed, including blocked gates, inaccessible areas, and unintended sequence skips. While this is a smaller update overall, it fixes several frustrating problems that could interrupt progression during runs.
Gameplay & Balance
- Fixed the Gun Control weapon trait not functioning correctly on the Onslaught rifle
- Fixed the Growth Incapacitor not working properly after restarting the game
- Fixed specific artifacts and weapon traits causing players to die during the Second Chance cinematic
World & Level Design
- Fixed an issue where players could become stuck outside the Solar Cage in the Atrium of the Cathedral
- Fixed the Vault door failing to open in the Ancient Depths
- Fixed the gate leading to Blighted Marsh remaining closed
- Fixed an issue where the bridge leading to the Desecrated Fortress could rise too early, allowing players to skip Blighted Marsh
- Fixed incorrect autosave spawn locations being used near certain stairs within the Passage
- Fixed a rare case where players could die while using the Eclipse Threads ability in the Yellow Shore
Audio
- Added general minor bug fixes and improvements
Saros launched on April 30, 2026, exclusively for PlayStation 5. Developed by Housemarque and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, the science-fiction roguelite shooter combines fast-paced bullet-hell combat with persistent progression systems and follows Arjun Devraj’s journey across the hostile planet Carcosa.
