CI Games and Epic Games End Publishing Agreement for Lords of the Fallen 2

by Greg Martin

CI Games has officially confirmed that it has ended its publishing agreement with Epic Games for Lords of the Fallen 2.

In a newly published report, the company disclosed that it entered into a Separation Agreement with Epic Games on April 14, 2026. The agreement releases CI Games from obligations tied to the Binding Publishing Term Sheet originally signed between the two companies on June 14, 2024.

The company stated, “The Management Board of Cl Games SE with its registered office in Warsaw hereby announces that on April 14, 2026 the Company entered into a Separation Agreement with Epic Games, Inc. that releases Company from its obligations as provided in the Binding Publishing Term Sheet concluded by the Company and Epic on June 14, 2024.”

CI Games also clarified that the decision will not affect its existing cooperation with Epic Games outside of publishing. According to the report, collaboration related to Unreal Engine, Epic Online Services, Epic account services, and the company’s participation in the Fortnite ecosystem will continue under separate agreements.

The report further explained that disclosure of the agreement had been delayed because the arrangement was conditional and included restrictions preventing public disclosure before it officially entered into force.

Lords of the Fallen 2 is currently in development for Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, with a planned release window set for late 2026. The upcoming action RPG is set roughly a century after the previous game and continues the series’ dark fantasy setting with expanded soulslike combat and dual-world exploration mechanics involving the Umbral realm.
