Online retailer Amazon Spain has leaked Skull Island: Rise of Kong ahead of an official announcement from developer GameMill Entertainment.

A store page for Skull Island: Rise Of Kong has emerged on Amazon Spain (via), suggesting that the game is close to an official announcement from developer GameMill Entertainment. Going by the platforms listed on the store page, the game is set for release on PS5, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. While not listed on the store page, and PC version is also likely to included in the official announcement.

Based on the game description available on Amazon Spain, Rise Of Kong will set players on a third person action adventure to avenge the death of Kong’s parents at the hands of the ultimate alpha predator i.e. Gaw. You’ll have the opportunity to conquer waves of primal beasts and defeat your archenemy’s minions to become the rightful king of Skull Island. You’ll be going through the mysterious island and discovering the history and secrets it hides as you come across swamps, waterfalls, jungle and caves full of skullites that give power to the flora and fauna of the island.

The game is said to be based on the 2017 movie that is also set in Skull Island, which serves as the second film in Legendary Pictures’ MonsterVerse, as well as the 11th film in the King Kong franchise. Set in 1973, the film revolves around a group of scientists and Vietnam War soldiers who embark on a daring journey to the uncharted Skull Island, where they encounter Kong, a colossal ape who stands as the last of his species, as well as other fearsome creatures.
