Sony appears to have prematurely revealed S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Update 2.1, with a PlayStation Asia post outlining several changes planned for the free patch. Although the update has yet to be officially announced, GSC Game World’s community manager has confirmed that it is expected to launch across all platforms next week.

The PlayStation Asia post described the update as The Zone Lookout Update 2.1. Its listed features include an increased visualisation range for A-Life NPCs, related combat and ballistics adjustments, and the ability to fast travel with squad leaders. The update is also set to include bug fixes and other improvements.

The post was subsequently shared on Reddit, where players discussed the upcoming changes. In a stickied comment on the discussion, GSC Game World community manager Kenny_PropheT acknowledged the premature reveal, writing: “False start guys, still cooking, but you can expect it to go live across all platforms next week”.

The response confirms the expected release window, but the studio has yet to publish a full set of patch notes detailing all the changes.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a first-person survival shooter developed by Ukrainian studio GSC Game World. Set in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, the game combines exploration, tactical combat and survival mechanics in a dangerous open world populated by hostile factions, mutants and anomalous phenomena.
