Previously, Dataminer Sebasti66855537 had shared on Twitter that, upon going through Starfield pre-load files on PC that he was unable to ssee any signs of the game supporting Nvidia DLSS or Intel XeSS. As also mentioned by them, this may generate a lot of backlash against Bethesda from Nvidia and Intel GPU users, as the publisher has yet to confirm whether it is blocking rival GPU vendor image reconstruction technology due to AMD’s sponsorship.
The modder further explained that supporting only FSR2 out of all temporal upscalers is especially disappointing because if a game engine can support a form of temporal upscaling technology, implementing support for other image reconstruction techologies ought to have been trivial. They added that there are tools that greatly simplify the process of incorporating support for image reconstruction technologies, such as Nvidia Streamline in the case of DLSS.
Additionally, it was revealed by Starfield Design Directors Will Shen and Emil Pagliarulo that the game features a jail system, and that it will let players purchase multiple homes across different cities.
