Spike Chunsoft has announced that physical editions of STEINS;GATE RE:Boot are now available in Europe for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Both the Standard Edition and Steelbook Edition launched on November 3, 2026, with a sticker included as a bonus for the first print run.
The game was previously released digitally on October 29 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The PC version launched through Steam on August 20, 2026.
Developed by MAGES., STEINS;GATE RE:Boot revisits the original visual novel, which debuted on Xbox 360 in 2009. The new version features completely reworked visuals alongside additional story content, including a previously unseen route called the Gamma Worldline.
The new storyline follows protagonist Rintaro Okabe after he has endured numerous difficult experiences. He finds himself in an unfamiliar worldline where the time machine was never completed. D-Mails, the messages that allow characters to change events in the past, also do not exist in this version of events.
The Gamma Worldline was not featured in the original STEINS;GATE, making it one of the main additions to the new release.
STEINS;GATE RE:Boot Editions and Prices
The game is available in three editions, with the following suggested retail prices:
- Standard Edition ($59.99): Available digitally and physically.
- Steelbook Edition ($69.99): Available as a physical release.
- Digital Deluxe Edition ($79.99): Available digitally.
Physical versions are available for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, while Xbox Series X|S and Steam versions are digital only. The newly released European physical editions are available for Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5.
