The physical editions of STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT for Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 have been delayed in the UK and EU, with the new release date set for November 3, 2026. Publisher Spike Chunsoft confirmed the change, citing unforeseen circumstances.
The delay affects both the physical Standard Edition and SteelBook Edition. Digital versions remain on schedule and will launch on October 29, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
North American players will also receive the game on October 29 as originally planned, with both physical and digital editions launching on that date. The PC version on Steam was released earlier, on August 20, 2026.
Developed by MAGES., STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT revisits the original STEINS;GATE, which first launched in 2009 for Xbox 360. The new version features revamped visuals and additional narrative content.
The game is a single-player adventure visual novel with Japanese voice acting and text options in Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
The Standard Edition is priced at $59.99, while the SteelBook Edition costs $69.99. A Digital Deluxe Edition is also available for $79.99.
