SOP: Final Fantasy Origin File Size, Pre-Load Date, and Day One Patch Notes

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is all set to launch on March 18, and we have the information on its pre-load, file size, and patch notes.

Strange of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is an action RPG from Team Ninja that is set in the Final Fantasy 1 world but features levels from almost all major Final Fantasy games. It has also received multiple demos where the player feedback was gathered to improve the game in time for launch.

Stranger of Paradise Pre-Load Date

The pre-load date of the game is March 13, according to PlayStationGameSize on Twitter. This is pretty normal for a game of this caliber as the pre-load usually kicks off on PlayStation Network a day or two before the official launch. It is different for the Xbox One and Xbox Series, which offer pre-load earlier. This pre-load date is for early access pre-order while the full game is playable on March 18, the early access offer will make the game playable on March 15.

The file size of the game has been estimated at 71 GB but this doesn’t include the day one patch that will likely get released. This file size is for the PS5 version of the game and since this one carries a smaller size than PS4, you can expect the PS4 version to be higher than this one.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Update 1.01 Patch Notes

There is a day one patch available right now for the game. On the PS4, the file size of this update is just under 1 GB so it is not that large.

  • Added save data carry over function to the demo
  • Added PlayStation®5 console cross-save
  • Various bug fixes

Based on the patch notes, if you have played the demo, you will be able to carry over your save data to the final game. The same applies for the PS4 to PS5 save data transfer.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is available on March 18, 2022, for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
