Street Fighter 6 Adds Filipino Eskrima Specialist Yasmine in August

Capcom has officially unveiled Street Fighter 6 Yasmine, the first downloadable fighter in Street Fighter 6’s Year 4 roster, with the new character set to join the game on August 3, 2026, across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.

The publisher introduced Yasmine through a new gameplay trailer showcasing her fighting style, which is based on the Filipino martial art of Eskrima. Armed with a Karambit knife and a highly mobile moveset, Yasmine specializes in fast attacks, mix-ups, and combo extensions designed to keep opponents under constant pressure.

According to Capcom, Yasmine comes from the Philippines and trained alongside her older brother under the guidance of her grandfather. After her brother mysteriously disappeared, she abandoned her training until videos from a famous French supermodel inspired her to resume her search. That journey ultimately leads her into the world of Street Fighter.

Yasmine’s toolkit revolves around a variety of Eskrima techniques that emphasize speed and aggression. Her arsenal includes Daloy ng Tubig, a forward-moving knife strike that can start or extend combos, and Alon, a follow-up attack that delivers multiple slashes and can place her into an enhanced state known as Bayani Mode.

Other special moves include Talim ng Hangin, a spinning low attack that can either close distance or bait opponents, and Mukha ng Langit, an acrobatic front-flip attack that offers multiple follow-up options to create offensive mix-ups. She can also launch a series of airborne kicks with Lipad ng Agila and pressure opponents from afar with Pangil sa Likuran, a projectile attack that varies in speed.

Her Super Arts continue the theme of mobility and relentless offense. Hiwa ng Kalangitan, her Level 1 Super Art, launches opponents before activating Bayani Mode. Her Level 2 Super Art, Nakatagong Lakas, grants a temporary power boost that allows her to maintain Bayani Mode while using special attacks, including an additional technique called Linya ng Liwanag, which lets her dash behind opponents before striking. At Level 3, Pamumukadkad ng Sampaguita sees Yasmine unleash a powerful finishing sequence after gathering energy and overwhelming her target with a flurry of attacks.

Players who purchase the Year 4 Character Pass or Year 4 Ultimate Pass will gain access to Yasmine when she launches. She arrives with two outfits, including her standard Eskrima combat gear and a school uniform. The second costume can be unlocked through Avatar Arcade Mode progression or by using Fighter Coins.

Capcom also confirmed that Yasmine is the first fighter in Street Fighter 6’s upcoming Year 4 lineup. She will be followed by Arjun, Tifa from the Final Fantasy VII Remake series, and Bosch, all of whom are scheduled to join the roster in future updates.

Alongside Yasmine’s launch, Capcom will release a new round of battle balance adjustments affecting the entire cast. Details on those changes will be available before the game’s scheduled maintenance period.

Originally released in 2023, Street Fighter 6 has now surpassed 7 million copies sold worldwide, according to Capcom. The fighting game is currently available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
