Street Fighter 6 Players Discover Secret Method to Unlock Dark Ingrid Transformation

by Salal Awan

Street Fighter 6 players appear to have discovered a secret method for unlocking Dark Ingrid, revealing an alternate transformation for the recently added fighter along with several exclusive attacks.

According to findings shared by the community, players can trigger the transformation by first using Back+Taunt to summon Monoid. After remaining neutral until Ingrid returns, players must repeatedly input Back+Taunt while Ingrid and Monoid perform a high-five animation. Successfully completing the sequence transforms the character into Dark Ingrid.

Once transformed, Dark Ingrid gains access to a number of unique abilities. Players report that the input 22+PPP unleashes a large laser attack, while 214214+K performs a one-hit burnout attack. Another special move, Sun Octopus, can reportedly be activated with 412369+KK.

Ingrid has long been one of Capcom’s more mysterious characters. First appearing in Capcom Fighting Evolution, she is portrayed as an ancient, immensely powerful being whose abilities are connected to solar energy. During the development of the canceled Capcom Fighting All-Stars project, Capcom also explored a darker counterpart known as Dark Ingrid, a concept built around corrupted powers and designed as a thematic opposite to the original character.

The appearance of Dark Ingrid in Street Fighter 6 is therefore notable for longtime fans, as it marks the first time the concept has seemingly become playable in a major Capcom fighting game. While Dark Ingrid existed in concept art and early development materials, the character never previously received a prominent role in the Street Fighter series.
