Street Fighter 6 Steam Deck Optimized Settings: How To Get Best Performance and Visuals

by Salal Awan

Street Fighter 6 demo is out now for PC and playable on Steam Deck. Here’s how to use the best settings to get 60 FPS on Steam Deck.

Street Fighter 6 demo allows you to play through a versus mode as well as a World Tour Mode that gives a glimpse of the main story campaign. It is possible to run the game at 60 FPS in the versus mode, which is where the majority of the game will be played either through Arcade mode, or online multiplayer matches. It is thankfully possible to run the game at a flawless 60 FPS with some tweaks.

When you originally start Street Fighter 6, you won’t be able to run it as the game refuses to boot up by default on Steam Deck. There is a runaround through it as explained in this guide.

How To Run Street Fighter 6 On Steam Deck

To run Street Fighter 6 on Steam Deck, you will need to install Proton first. If you haven’t done it already, then you should follow the steps listed below

  • In the power options, select “Switch to Desktop”.
  • Click on the Discovery icon located on the taskbar and search for Proton.
  • Install Proton and make sure to add the latest version of Proton DB (the latest is 7-55)

Once this is done, simply switch back to gaming mode and go to the properties of Street Fighter 6. Make sure the compatibility mode is toggled and pick up Proton 7-55 from the menu. After doing this all, just boot up the game and it will run fine now.
