Season 1 of Warner Bros Games and Rocksteady Studios’ action adventure shooter, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, has begun, though it barely comes with any new content besides the addition of Joker.
Given the game’s lukewarm reception, it’s fair to say that Season 1 was expected to be a make-or-break situation for the title. However, things haven’t quite turned out as expected, with the first season bringing no new story content. The pre-launch trailer for Season 1 of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League gave the impression that it would add a new story arc in relation to Joker. However, that is not the case.
The new missions that have been introduced in Season 1 of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League are essentially the same as the ones already found in the base game content. On the plus side, doing the new missions does lead to a new boss fight that is followed by a cutscene.
How To Unlock Joker In Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
A common misconception surrounding the arrival of Joker is that players will need to reach Mastery level 35 in order to unlock him. That is not the case, however. Season 1 of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League brings a new Fear Episode rank, and that is what you need to get to level 35 in order to gain access to the new character. This is accomplished by completing any of the missions. Some missions on the map screen have a “+1” or a “+2” mentioned above them. Complete these missions in order to increase your rank. The entire process should take around 60 to 90 minutes. There is some grind in order to unlock Joker, but it’s not half as bad as the idea of reaching Mastery level 35.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was released for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on February 2, 2024.
