Tales of Arise Opened To Launch Month Record Sales for Tales of Series
Tales of Arise is a massive success for Bandai Namco whose hard work and effort appear to have paid off handsomely with this new entry.
The Tales of series was becoming stagnant with new entries failing to do well, or not being received well critically until the release of Tales of Arise. It was now only a critically-acclaimed release at launch, it has also done well. It was revealed shortly after launch that the game has sold more than 1 million copies worldwide, making it the fastest-selling one in the series.
NPD has shared their monthly sales result that also includes Tales of Aires. They have revealed that the debut of this new game was a record-breaking one. Not only did it manage to beat Diablo II Resurrected but it also debuted as the number 4 best-selling game in September. It set the record for the best sales debut of a game in the franchise.
Bandai Namco might be quite happy with this success since they had chosen to delay the game until it was polished enough to get a release date. It was originally announced along with Elden Ring during Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference. Other RPGs that were released by Bandai Namco include Scarlet Nexus, which is now available on Xbox Game Pass.
