The Finals Update 10.6 Adds Dragon’s Claim Mode and Balance Changes

The Finals update 10.6 introduces Dragon’s Claim, a new limited time mode centered on objective control and team coordination. Alongside this, the Scales of Fortune event returns with free rewards, while new store bundles and Twitch Drops expand cosmetic offerings for players.

Beyond new content, the update delivers a substantial list of balance changes and bug fixes. Adjustments to gadgets, weapons, and spawning systems aim to improve fairness and gameplay flow, while numerous fixes enhance stability, audio, UI, and overall performance.

    • Invisibility duration reduced from 6 seconds to 5 seconds
    • Cooldown increased from 18 seconds to 22 seconds

  • Spawn system adjusted
    • Increased minimum respawn distance from enemies by approximately 20 percent
  • Ranked Tournaments updated
    • Rebalanced rank distribution across leagues

Gameplay

  • Goo interaction updated
    • Break time reduced from 0.8 seconds to 0.35 seconds

  • Shockwave reverted to previous behavior
    • Restores higher launch potential when combined with Jump Pad

    • Improved hip fire accuracy

    • Reduced effective range and damage at distance

The Finals, developed and published by Embark Studios, released on December 7, 2023. It is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.
