The first hands-on gameplay footage for Tides of Annihilation has appeared online, with several YouTube channels sharing videos showing around 40 minutes of gameplay from Eclipse Glow Games’ upcoming action adventure.
The footage provides an extended look at the single-player, third-person title ahead of its eventual release.
Tides of Annihilation is being developed and published by Chinese studio Eclipse Glow Games using Unreal Engine 5. The game is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with PC players able to access the game through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Tides of Annihilation is set in a transformed version of modern-day London following an otherworldly invasion that has fractured reality. Players take control of Gwendolyn, described as the city’s lone human survivor.
Gwendolyn sets out to uncover the mystery behind the invasion while searching for a way to save her sister and restore the world. Her journey is tied to the mythical Holy Grail, with the game’s story drawing heavily from Arthurian legend.
The newly shared hands-on footage offers one of the most substantial gameplay looks at Tides of Annihilation so far, giving players around 40 minutes to see how the upcoming adventure is shaping up.
