World of Warcraft: Forever has reportedly been classified for PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch in Brazil by the country’s Ministry of Justice, despite Blizzard previously stating that the game is currently being developed as a PC-only release.
The classification reportedly lists PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles, as well as Nintendo Switch. Mac and PC are also included in the listing. The classification could potentially cover Nintendo Switch 2 as well.
The rating should be treated cautiously, as a classification does not necessarily confirm that Blizzard is preparing console versions of the MMORPG.
Blizzard Has No Confirmed Console Plans
World of Warcraft: Forever entered beta on September 17, 2026, with its full release scheduled for November 4. The game is currently planned as a PC-exclusive title distributed through Blizzard’s Battle.net launcher.
The project is positioned as Blizzard’s take on “Classic+”, revisiting the original version of Azeroth while adding new content, expanded race and class combinations and native gamepad support.
Blizzard has previously stated that there are no current plans for a native console version of World of Warcraft. The addition of official Xbox controller support has nevertheless led to speculation about a potential future console release, particularly following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
