Xbox players who own digital copies of selected Ubisoft games on console can now claim the PC versions at no additional cost through Ubisoft Connect as part of an expanded partnership between Xbox and Ubisoft.
The offer is available from today and applies to 13 Ubisoft titles, including Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Far Cry 6, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Skull and Bones, The Crew Motorfest and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. Players who purchase eligible games digitally from now on will automatically receive both the Xbox console and Xbox PC versions.
Existing owners will receive access to the PC versions through a phased rollout running until August 4. Ubisoft advises players to update Ubisoft Connect to the latest version to ensure the newly added games appear in their library.
The full list of eligible games includes Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Far Cry 6, Immortals Fenyx Rising, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Riders Republic, Skull and Bones, The Crew 2, The Crew Motorfest, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege and Watch Dogs Legion.
Alongside the free PC offer, Xbox has also expanded Ubisoft’s catalogue on the Xbox PC app by adding premium editions and selected downloadable content for a wide range of games. The updated selection includes titles such as Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Star Wars Outlaws, Rainbow Six Siege, Skull and Bones and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.
According to Ubisoft, most game editions and downloadable content owned on Xbox will also transfer to the PC version at no additional cost. The main exceptions are consumable items, including in-game currencies and other one-time-use content, which are not included. Players can check the content linked to their account through Ubisoft Connect, where each game’s properties page lists the owned edition and downloadable content.
The promotion only works in one direction. Players who already own the PC version of an eligible Ubisoft game will not receive the Xbox console version for free.
